Just a couple of things overlooked in that article . First Before pushing pistons back in clean all the old brake dust etc off them , pump them out till you can see clean steel and then clean the pistons with a rubber safe brake clean ( not all are) and I've found plastic strapping good for cleaning brake pistons . Second Always make sure the master cylinder level is NOT above max as you need an air gap in the master cylinder and the level will rise as the pistons retreat ans brake fluid expands as it gets hot .

Commenting without reading the article...

I like to pop the pistons right out and clean out all the shit that accumulates in the outer dust seals. Replacing these seals if they look like they aren't prefect is a good idea too. (I've crashed as a result of them tearing apart and binding the front brake.)

Ohh why not, I won't read the article either.

Usually on old bikes crud falls to the lowest point meaning the pistons don't go back fully as there is grease goop behind them.

Seals need to come out to clean behind them as white build up as Mal says.
