So what is your opinion of NZ's latest boxing heavy weight chump?
Has he got a future as a boxer, and/or rugby player, or will he, as I think, go back to league after the World cup.?

Good footballer, could make it as a gay icon / religious leader

Funny you should say that - SBW has always reminded me of Ian Roberts.

He'll go to where ever the biggest payday is.

I don't think he'll ever be 'a contender' but then I don't think that's what he's doing it for. I've certainly never heard him say he plans to be a champion or anything. For him I think he just enjoys the time away from his normal 'work' Good luck to him.

Good rugby player at moment, but still not tested fully against top oposition in a desperate situation like world cup time.Boxing is a hobby for him,he has a bit to learn, league he was good but again in internationals showed patches of brilliance.

I think it's good that he's highlighting that there is more to boxing and fighting in general than being muscular.
The guy's built like a Greek god that watches Jersey Shore.
But beyond that... zzzz

I didn't see the fight and if they were the highlights on the news tonight I'm glad I missed it

Nice enough guy, good all round sportsman, but I don't think that he will really get traction as a boxer. He has got aeons of work to do if he is serious about it as a career. If he got into the ring with someone like Shane Cameron I think he will be absolutely flattened, but Shane Cameron is a long way off being an internationally reputable and respected boxer with word class ranking.
Should stick to the rugby, at least that way his face wont be all messed up and he can still do modeling contracts ...... :S
Would be very interesting to see him training in person too.

I think he's overrated, big, fast and he's got that offload back-of-the-hand trick but we're already seeing defenders learning to cope with that. He's not got the positional sense and smarts to be really good in a creative position in rugby...back to league for you SBW, and ferchissake take Nonu with you.
i would like to see him fight this guy.......http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x67/jim157/Unknown-11.jpg

Makes a good poster boy to get some bums on seats.
As above will go back to league after the AB's fail to win the world cup again.
Boxing is a sideline for added hype factor.

That'll be a great result on both counts - he'll get to use his shoulder in a tackle like he used to in the great game, and I'll enjoy the teeth nashing and a possible change of government all over again :violin:

So are you predicting a snap election if the AB's performances are looking a bit average?
Nothing worse for a government than the filthy masses taking out their frustration at another rugby disappointment at the polling booth.

It is retarded (I grant you that) but then I think "it's time for a change"
