My learner bike is now for sale - I've owned this for about 2.5 years, got me through all my licenses until I replaced it with a CBR600RR last year. It's been very reliable for me - I put about 15,000km on it and was great fun to learn on. I've looked after it well and changed the oil and filter every 5,000km. Has always gotten through WOFs easily.
It's been off the road for about 8 months as there were a few issues I wanted to address before selling it (namely leaky forks and bad brakes). I ended up spending quite a lot but I'm sure the future owner will be very pleased with it
In the last <100km it has had:
- new front brake disks (Metalgear)
- new front brake pads (Metalgear)
- new front brake caliper seals/rebuild
- new fork seals, plus the forks cleaned up by Red Baron
- new battery
- new spark plugs
- fairing and radiator support frames powder coated Kawasaki green
- Motul RBF 600 racing brake fluid (glycol based/compatible with 3/4/5.1)
- new coolant
On top of that, in the last <5000km I've also done
- new, braided brake lines from Alert Motorsport (road legal)
- new clutch disks
- new speedo cable
- tinted double bubble screen
- oil/filter change less than 1,000km ago
It also has a Yoshi pipe and some sort of de-restrictor box that was on it when I got it
So mechanically, the bike is in great condition. Cosmetically, the bike is tidy but on closer inspection it's got a number of paint scratches and cracks in the fairings. It's been knocked over twice while I've owned it (once when I was putting air in the tyre...oops) but none while moving since I've owned it. Does have evidence of having had a mild skid in the past. Also you may notice a DeWalt sticker on it in these pics, I put that one for lols when I was trialling a DeWalt LiPo battery in it, but will pull the sticker off before it sells.
I'll also include with the bike:
- KBC helmet, in pretty good condition
- Cordura jacket and pants that are no longer as waterproof as they once were (both size L from memory)
- HJC gloves (pretty sweet but a bit too big for me)
The kms will probably go up as I'll ride it a bit to bed in the brakes before it sells. It currently has no WOF and rego is on hold, but I'll get a warrant and put 3 months rego on it for the new owner
