I'm looking for a mx coach for my 7 year old boy. Currently on a KTM SX50. We're in Auckland. He's had some coaching in the past. Wanting someone who can work with him often when needed and then other months he won't need as much. Needs someone who's firm & to the point basically.

Broxys your man Joan. He's not the cheapest trainer going around but worth the extra $ IMO.
He's normally in Auckland every couple of months. My youngest boy has had a couple of sessions with him and he seems to "get" what Broxys saying.

Another more local trainer for us is Hamish Stone - he works at MR Moto

We all got some coaching with Broxy a while back. It didn't really work for Brooky. Haven't heard of Hamish Stone. Do you know much about his coaching?

I think Mike Cotter, he's done a couple of training days for NHMMX

Thanks. Have heard good things about Mike Cotter but also heard he's pretty hard to get due to full on schedule.
I've found a local young rider who's gonna help out and coach/mentor Brooky, so gonna give that a go and then do some more full on coaching every now & then when i get someone sorted for that

Is Mike Cotter still coaching? I thought he'd stopped.

Hamish started out coaching about 12 months ago. He's a recent grad in sports science I think and a pretty good bloke. A bit of a regular at most of the PMCC events.

You could try Birchy. I got some one on one coaching off him last year, well worth the money.

Birchy is a bit tougher to get hold of I imagine now he's living in South Africa.
I believe Karl Power & Chris are doing coaching nowadays, never tried either.
Personally I'm a big fan of Broxy or Mitchell/Damon Nield.

I run a MX Holiday Programme in Hawke's Bay. In January I had Katherine Prumm and Matthew Prumm as coaches. The kids loved them. Then in April I used Mike Phillips and Rhys carter. Again a brilliant setup.
I know that Katherine is studying fulltime, but she also loves to coach kids.
Matthew is coming back to run the July programme for me. I am still looking for a second coach.
If you pm me I will contact them and see if any of them is happy to help.
Or send your little one down here for a week... www.ymcahb.org.nz (http://www.ymcahb.org.nz)

I've found a local rider who's gonna start some coaching with my boy. Also hoping to do some sessions with Rhys Carter too.
Thanks all the same
