Independence Day?
Isn't that a good sign that you should not pay, hence becoming more "independant"?:blip:

Just for the people with 4x4`s. If it is a Surf, Safari etc make sure it is registered as a WAGON not a ute. A ute has a deck, a wagon doesn`t and a wagon is $180.00 per year cheaper to register.

If it`s under 3.5 tonne get the rego class changed to a 3 or 5 door wagon/van (or whatever) and it is about $180.00 dollars cheaper. And yes that is for a Diesel.
Info from LTSA then VTNZ, then a quick trip to the post shop and I saved $170.06rego on my Safari 5dr wagon.
http://www.nzta.govt.nz/vehicle/registration-licensing/fees.html
It is now a non-petrol private passenger car/van. Cost $417.61, it was $596.67 as it was classed as a "goods truck/van/ute", and most SUV 4x4`s are classed as this .
Check it out.. what is it going to cost you to have a look ???? You might even save a buck.
