Righto, who is planning on going to this event? Cheap as chips:

3-5pm practice on Saturday
Racing Sunday.

$30 entry ($20 each on a shared bike CONDITIONS APPLY)
$20 Day Licence

Sign in 9:30

Bikes must conform to MNZ regulations and excessively loud machines will be excluded at the discretion of the race officials at any time.

Who wants to go but for some reason is unable, we (Welly KBers) may be able to help! I know that we have around 7ish people who have already put their hands up to go already!

Let's put on a good show and show these Hawkes-Bayites how to really race! ;)
(not me though, I suck!)

I'm keen, but will have to get one of the bikes ready. So it might be 3 years away ;).

Is there camping at the track?

Apparently there is camping at the track but it will be freezing. Looking at staying with one of the other HB Bucketeers.... I reckon if we can get a good indication of who needs beds then we can probably ask them nicely and see who has spare room for us.....

As for the bike, no worries there'll be a few that you can ride! :)

hmmm I was pretty keen to go but I think my bike is a bit loud.
May have to think up some secondary muffler to slip on the end of the current set up.
Any ideas?

Lit the fire last Friday night for the first time this year. Got down to 3 degs. You guys would be off to the beach if it ever got to 3 degs, wouldn't you?
Thought about coming to Kaitoke river last weekend, but I prefer rafting the Motu or Rangitakei...

Sorry, can't help re muffler but you should DEFINITELY come to Roy's Hill. It's an awesome track. And let's face it, the weather is much more likely to be better than here!

We've been having some abnormally warmish weather here! I didn't ride on Sunday, just really couldn't be f*cked! The racing was awesome though! ;)

The MNZ legal limit is 95db. Last year when my muffler fell off my FXR they just happened to have a Db meter out there. I was second loudest at 93 db with a 550mm straight pipe. We encourage people to keep the noise to a respectable level tho... If you take off just one plug lead, that normally reduces the noise level...

Yep, we've decided to go through, providing a whole lot of shit doesn't happen! I haven't ridden there yet, was one of my goals last year that didn't eventuate, so wouldn't mind giving that one a tick.
We're set for a bed thanks. But may be keen to do a Welly Bucket Convoy depending on timing. Haven't got the white van anymore so can't do The White Van Driving Wanker Convoy this time :killingme

Am trying to convince my wife to let me go.

Does Andrew still have that awesome trailer?

What is travel plans of the convoy?

Would Amy (who's 12 years) be allowed to go out? She's got the gears and the bike.

Is there anyone willing to share costs? If Amy came I could fit 1 bike and two bodies (I promise not to bring the kitchen sink).

Oh so many questions and so little time...

We do what we can to accomodate the kids, they can go out in B grade practice if they are competent enough and then have a spin at lunch and at the end of the day, as long as what they ride conforms and as you say they have the right gear. Thanks, Steve B (Pacific F4 Coordinator)

Ah, it's got a Quay. Shame we can't use it to lock the doors and then throw it away (with the buzzing humans locked inside of course). Only been there once back in the 80's, good way to waste a bit of time.

Funny how we go to all these places but don't actually see much of them. Been doing that for years though. We kept going to Raglan to ride our dirtbikes, and I figured out I'd never been to the beach. Places like Waimiha I don't think I've missed anything (or we've driven through the town, who knows, I blinked).

Ah well, I won't bother trying to find Thorndon on the map then (cheers George) :)

Gutted even more now. Had left before you'd posted you guyss weren't coming.

Verdict of the weekend (for me): Race pies da bomb. No race pies, not good. No further comments available at the moment.

Clive: You're welcome. We'll now have to face the music with the real owner of the bike and accept we're banned from taking his bike away again after this episode hahahaha

Thanks heaps to everyone who helped make it a fantastic weekend, especially whoever booked the weather. That was much appreciated, but a bit warmer in the morning would've been good. Very tempted to just stay in bed all day lol
