Nothing wrong with an X7, its in the 70's era and has a disc brake.

Deciding whether to go for one that is in tidy condition and ready to ride or buy two and make one good. The option of sourcing two means more time spent looking than riding around but could mean with the second poorer condition bike could turn this into a wee cafe racer. So to answer your question... depends what is out there.

I bought one of these things new in 1976 from Pride and Clarke's ('Snide and Sharks') in Tooting, South london. Thereafter chained for 3 years on the never-never (hire purchase) to a bike I didn't like. Sit-up and-beg riding position, wallowing handling, 85 mph top speed on a good day. Notable for rapid small-end wear, hence local nickname, 'The Rattler'. Almost immediately made redundant by the much groovier coffin-tanked RD250 Yamaha. That really was 'Race Developed' and did everything better, including impressing the girls. Suzuki made some good 2-strokes at the time, notably the GT550, but the 250 wasn't one of them.
