// Mods - please move if you think there is a better place for this post //

Team Brehaut Racing (TBR), along with its supporters, are embarking on a fundraising initiative for the Neurological Foundation of New Zealand (NFNZ).

The NFNZ is an independent body and charitable trust that raises funds to ensure this country’s top neuroscientists can continue leading-edge research into neurological disorders. The NFNZ Annual Appeal will be held in the week 04-10 July 2011.

50% of the funds made from all sales from Mark's Trademe account (mmmmnz) in the month of July will go to the NFNZ, and the remaining 50% will be used by TBR to continue to raise the profile of the NFNZ through racing in the 2011 Actrix VMCC Winter Series and the 2011 Suzuki International Tri-Series.

Some of the products that will be auctioned off during this period are an IOM TT Centenary Collection, a set of new STM Swingarm Buttons, a pre-loved 2005 MotoGP Season Guide, a brand new rear Continental Endurance race tyre, and some autographed Nitro Circus gear.

Any commercial or private supporters who wish to support this initiative by donating new or used goods for auction are asked to contact Mark at mark@brehautracing.co.nz

Many thanks

Mark and Team Brehaut Racing

Better than great... it's MASSIVE And for an item like that, I think I'd have to offer to donate 'ALL' of the proceeds to the NFNZ rather than taking 50% for TBR

I've updated our Trademe a/c with some new stuff e.g.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=389573189

I'm not going to load up what I consider to be the premier auction items until the last week in July.... they'll be posted around midday on Sunday 24 July, timed to expire on Sunday 31 July when we'll be holding an event of some sort at Garage Espresso in Upper Hutt.

For those that have asked privately, Yes, I will donate 100% of the takings for any particular item to the Neurological Foundation should you choose to donate something and ask me to do so. Also, should you donate cash through me and want 100% of it to go to the Foundation, then your wish will be granted.

Cheers

As well as the amazing donation of Shaun Harris’s 2004 IOM TT Trophy, we have also received the following to auction off in the last week of July…

1. A voucher for one night’s accommodation in a Luxurious King Suite at the GATEWAY MOTOR INN, Masterton.

2. A $200 Voucher from Mobile Hand Car & Marine Grooming, Wellington, and

3. A $800 voucher from Beaurepaires.

Team Brehaut Racing thanks these organisations for their very generous support.

Look for more updates as Sunday 24 July draws closer and the premium auctions will be listed.

Awesome response from everyone so far, and we've raised $155 with $25 coming from completed Trademe sales and $130 in cash donations.

A reminder that the premier auctions will start from midday on Sunday 24 July, and close midday on Sunday 31 July. I have been advised that the best way to run the premier auction items is to have a $1 reserve and let them run their course, so that is the way it will be.

Many thanks again for all of your support to date!

For those interested, click the link for all that Mark's got on TM:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings.aspx?member=711536

Then once you're there, click on the "save this seller" button below the categories and you'll get emails when he lists more stuff.

And yeah, I realise most of us know how to do this, but spotted Shaun and Mark didn't ;)

Tempted on the GP books, but got so much I should be reading, and not getting much done these days.

Good luck with the auctions :)

Yes, only a week to go before the premier items go up for auction. And we're pleased to say that more goods have been donated for the NFNZ auction by our very generous supporters...

1. A variety of gear from our primary sponsor, Garage Espresso, at 458 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt.

2. 2 x Official Warriors Streetwear Caps made by Canterbury and hand signed by the squad, from Suzuki NZ

and

3. 2 x Official Warriors 2011 NRL Squad balls made by Steeden and print signed by the squad, from Suzuki NZ.

So keep an eye out on here, and on Trademe. I'll be trying to let everyone know when the auctions are up and running with their $1 reserves as close as possible to midday on Sunday 24 July.

Many thanks to everyone who supported our Fundraising efforts this year.

The auction is complete, I have 'almost' all of the auction items delivered, the raffle run, the cash donations in, and the sausage sizzle.... sizzled.

We raised $3063.80 in total, and $1687.55 of that was forwarded direct to the Neurological Foundation of NZ on Wednesday 10 August.

Huge thanks to those that have supported with auction items, cash donations and good wishes along the way.

In no particular order big thanks go to Ken @ Garage Espresso, Duncan @ slotmedia.co.nz, Shaun Harris, Beaurepaires, Mobile Hand Car & Marine Grooming, Gateway Motor Inn, Suzuki NZ. I sincerely hope i have not missed anyone, and apologise if I have

Come and say hi at the track sometime

Cheers
