One of my ignition coils has kicked the bucket. Anyone know where I would get replacement items? I'm certain that either model gsx-r250, gsx-f and possibly some other suzuki 250's have coils that would work.

Pretty much any appropriate voltage coil will "work" providing it has the same electrical spec as the original, the trick is to get something that has the right connectors !
I'm using CBR600 "stick" coils as replacements for the stock Honda VTR units on my drag bike - just had to modify the connectors.

What's the coil resistance meant to be? I have some ZZR600/400 ones lying around that work.

2-4 ohms primary, 36-56 K-ohms secondary.

What kind of connectors does it use and how are the leads fitted?

Each coil has two male spade terminals as the +ve and -ve. The leads are part of the coil and not disconnectable.

Is this at the coil end or at the plug cap end?

Is this at the coil end or at the plug cap end?Coil end, always use a new plug cap. Have a look on some of the grey import forums, see if you can find a guide.
