I was there a while ago,it's pretty big,the seating is pretty much good from most places, but it all depends on where the stage is being set up.

I quite liked it.

Went to Simon and Garfunkel there and only hassle with it being a sports stadium was you had a choice of sitting closer to the stage but sitting so you had to look sideways or if you sat at the far end from the stage you got a straight on view but from a long way back so we opted for the cricked kneck option.

I saw a rock band there (the Pixies) last year. It was OK but barely. big echo-y shithole but the sound guys did a not bad job.

easy enough to get to from the CBD (we walked to and from our hotel on Queen St)

Got the T shirt. thats important.

I parked at Arena parking. free for bikes (ride around barrier) & heaps of space corner of 1st floor by pole. Stadium has a cloak room for stashing gear in.

I'm going this Saturday and I have a friend from work who has just been. Suggestions were take warm clothes and plenty of cash to speed things up. Parking at the Arena car park is good and quite close ($20 for a car). Gate opens at 10. Enjoy, I believe it is very good. oh and well done on the free tickets. :woohoo:
