Can anyone redo the attached images in CorelDraw or a similar application? I need to create a logo for my SV site (http://www.sv-portal.com). I am looking at setting up shirt sales for that site too. My server costs have recently doubled so I need to make more sales to help out.

I looking at having the words SV Portal in the same font as the second image placed in front of the v-twin image from the first with the site URL underneath. I need it in Corel as jpg images don’t resize without pixilation.

Next Kiwi Rider deadline is Wednesday and I'm under a bit of pressure for that.
If no-one else manages I can do it for you later in the week. Not in corel but a vector .eps that it can open is no prob.
Do you know what the font is called?

Whenever you have time to help would be great. No idea what font it is. Probably a type created just for their logo. I've tried to find something similar, but that’s never an easy task due to the number of fonts available.

Freeline-Serif Cruiser

Dexy

Freeline-Cruiser

Panic-Outline Italic-Regular

Panic-Italic-Regular

Beekman-Square Bold Italic

None are that close... I'd say it's a custom font. (Hello Streamline...)

Try Serpentine. Do a bit of an edit to rip out the tiny serifs and you would have something pretty damn close.

Damn mac is in storage and I'm posting off the Pig-C at the moment or I'd throw it together for you right now...

I will install illustrator later tonight and whip it up for you!

by the time you've dicked around finding the right font, you might as well just have drawn a few paths and retraced the text by hand..

Anyone working on the "SV Portal" type yet? I haven't had time...

MSTRS

Yep _ I was able to do the lettering & sent to SM, but your engine way superior. I sent as a CDR vector so I guess SM will be able to merge the 2

Worked up "portal' using '1000' as style. Have emailed to you.

Tried it with portal, but it looks better with just the SV. It also allows the 650 guys to buy it.

Thanks for all your help guys. Really appreciated.

Shop is now open (http://www.cafepress.com/svportal,svnourl,svportal_url).

Gents who know about these things. Spankme put me onto this thread as some of you obviously know a thing or two about image vector files. The Adv riders on KB (me included) want to make a Adv rider specific version KB T shirt. See this thread (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=54499) for details. Basically we are looking to modify the KB logo slightly and also the KB text as shown in this post (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showpost.php?p=1171193&postcount=62).

I'm not familiar with creating image vector files but I understand the concept i.e. lines bounding regions which at then filled as appropriate. I also know enough about Autocad to be able to draw the logo and text in cad and that there is an export to eps file option (2005 version of cad). If I was to do this is this going to be what Spanks printers need to be able to print the Tshirts? Am I barking up completely the wrong tree?

Thanks for any help. :scooter:

Cheers R

P.S. I dont have access to Illustrator, Corel Draw etc and don't expect anybody else to do this for me/us.

Thats a bitmap dude, I can recreate it from scratch but it would save alot of time if I have the vector version......

Yea I know...can't post ai's etc here....I can do the whole thing from here, in ai, eps, cdr vector format. Can email or put on a CD and give to Zukin...
And the rider adapted.

A good screenprinter should be able to handle eps files. If you have any issues I can output final film for the screenprinter.

Hi guys. Got a cdr file from Spank with the original rider (I think) and have found a copy of corel draw that I can use but it seems that the work may have already been done - thanks MSTRS. I'll link the other thread to these pics and get a reaction re your work but I recon we should just go with it.

One thing though that we wanted the web address below the rider so I'm guessing it is best to add that as part of the logo so printer only has to make one screen????

If other adv riders are happy with it then I think a cdr file to spank would be the way to go from here.

Thanks again MSTRS.

Cheers R

I have sent the whole thing to Spank as eps, ai and cdr. All fonts have been converted to curves, cos some printers need it that way.

The txt isn't really rough and dirty enough for me. I like the original plan by Glen better.
MSTRSs version still looks too neat and precise.... J's words too.
I have time from 5pm today and am now interested to have a play at tweaking it too. I'll trace Glens lettering if i have to.

Spank please do nothing yet.

Needs a touch of dirt.
Just a scattering of dots in strategic places would be enough.
