Hey there guys, does anyone know where you can get some gold stripe decals for a Bonnie (Hinckley) tank?

Like on the early 80s ones

Thought it might work on my Black SE Bonneville :)

Cheers,

I know the factory ones were hand painted, they still our on the new ones. I'm just thinking of DIY. :)

You can only hand paint it if you are wearing 30 year old unwashed grey overalls, are as skinny as a nail, have only three teeth and have one half-smoked dogend behind one ear and another hanging from the corner of your mouth.

If you ignore all of the above it will all go horribly wrong.

Buy some 3mm gold stripe from Repco (TFX brand is good stuff). Apply the stripe by hand, bending as you go, to achieve the shape you want.
The trick is to get both sides the same...

can probably make a cardboard template for that. I did it once with a Bueller striper....on of those things that looks easy when the demo guy uses it....like the Henrob welder and Gunsen colourtune..... sat in my drawer for 20 years.....
