Ready to race sidecar.

Unsure of the engine type as it was changed since I last raced it, but I believe it has a fully reconditioned 1000cc engine with dyna2000 electrical system.
($4,000)

2 x spare donor Kawasaki GPZ1000 engines with new and used parts
Spare fairing moulds
2 spare slick tyres
($2,000)

Home made trailer to fit sidecar
($1,000)

Will look at selling items separately if someone is keen.

I have left the sidecar with mum in Christchurch and she now needs to clear the garage, so out it goes.

Please get in touch to discuss details further.

I've raced this outfit as both passenger and rider, even won some trophys on it with Chic 'n' Charge riding it nice neutral handling with some good componentry for it's day

It could do with a good going over and tidy up but it's a good deal at that price

The sidecar has been in the family for a while now. It was handed down from my parents who raced it before me when they upgraded. Lots of great memories had. Now it's someone else's turn.

This sidecar was discovered last week on a rural property in the Waikato, minus its engine & about to be scrapped.
It has been purchased & will go on to greater things in the near future.

Ask Nodrog off here, he's the proud new owner, but very great I should expect.
He really should start a progress thread to tell of his adventure.

I asked him to do that, he thought it unlikely it would happen

Oh awesome that you guys found it and stopped it being scrapped! I looked at this bike last year sometime in Christchurch and was close to buying it before the mo haley built one got offered at a low price. felt nice in the drivers seat, especially for a tall fella like me.

hehe, I'll start one on the mo haley bike once the trailer is finished.

we are confused with which agip scheme to go for, found 3 photos and 2 videos. some show it all yellow, some show it yellow and red...

yea I guess...

its either or really, I think I like the one with red on it a bit more because it breaks up the yellow..
but could use some of the decals from the all yellow one, prefer the front decal from the solid yellow ones

starting the painting after KOL 2 all things going well and if the trailer build goes to plan

The white #51 in picture #1 is the Scrivy ZX10 with Matt Deverall on the side, at turn 4 Baypark. Must be the first year Scrivy had it.

Oh yea? you think AGIP in NZ as a whole sponsored this bike or a local retailer.. I'm guessing in the Agip days it was a north island bike? Worth a look, might be a bit random ringing up a shop and asking about a sidecar from the 80's/90's hehe

They must be.. don't they sponsor Harris?

Will make some enquiries anyway, you don't think the chch ones had anything to do with the bike tho eh? they might give us stickers and colors tho!

AGIP had three main bikes from memory who were very well sponsored, this bike with Dave Beresfod and Vince Steur, Grant Ramage on a 250 proddie bike and Russell Josiah on a Superbike, they kept at it for a few years too.
and it wasn't a North Island bike , it raced all over New Zealand.

After washing it, Bob suggested I purchase an angle grinder. I've only just teached myself how to stick metal together (I wouldnt call it welding as it doesnt really qualify) so my pile of many bits is slowly becoming one bit again.

haha, yea i called him day before yesterday but never got through to him. Left message and sent email...

I'm really only interested in some history on my bike and maybe some free stickers.

but so far no one return my calls.. im sure they are busy enough with business and have little interest in an old bike from the 80's

Transdiesel in chch did give us a half doz balls with agip logos on em.. can use them as carb intake stoppers :D no stickers yet though.
but they sponsor another bike in chch already anyway.

Haven't ever seen anything at the track with AGIP on it?

Harris apparently gets support from Agip oils and so on.. he has stickers on his bike these days.
Phil went around to transdiesel in chch to ask about stuff for our bike and they mentioned they support old harris.
He has a wee bit of sponsorship from other places too, need to figure out what he's telling people so I can get in on that haha.
