This link may be useful to anyone who wishes to see exactly what the weather is doing at the track.

http://www.kartsportwellington.co.nz/TrackCam.aspx

Looks pretty cool and will be useful for anyone who wishes to go do some practice there. It should also show anyone else who is practicing at the track at the time. This is also useful because I have been up there to test my new bucket and ended up waiting for well over an hour just to do 4 laps and head home because of the amount of kart drivers there.

Looks "dark" and"wet" right now. I'd be inclined to stay home......

I thought that too (about it being dark and wet), but the benefit of heading out now, is there's no one there, so you won't have to wait for an hour to do 4 laps.

Does this mean we can sort of watch the racing on Sunday? (bit lumpy, but I'm going to be spying on you at some stage - probably only spot karts)

Umm yeah I'm freaking out a bit at the moment, need to know where it's pointing... and how long it's been there. Went out last Monday, nobody but us there so I stripped off to get in and out of my leathers in the middle of the pits. Hope nobody saw my arse! :o

It looks like it'll be on a post around the entrance to the track. Pretty sure that's the last turn/start/finish straight that you can see.

Sorry, I'm used to dirt bike events where there's not really anywhere to change, so screw it if I offend (I did initially try to be discreet using a towel, but if guys are in their jocks around the place, they can deal with it). It just doesn't register to use the clubrooms/toilets until after I've gotten changed.

Wonder if they record as well as just pumping out the pictures??? lol (sorry Trudes). But no, it doesn't look like it points towards the pits.

Search 'KB arses' for the hook up.
But a warning, once you ride Rangi there may be no going back (eh Clive :innocent:)

That's exactly why I've refrained from accepting offers to ride peoples "buckets" in the past Nigel, I'm scared of how much I'll enjoy it and how shit I'll perform.

You know what prima donnas us ex Superbike riders can be.....

Rangi will just throw you off when he's had enough, he's not overly subtle.

That is so awesome. Pity it's hard to see the track surface, but you'd be able to see if its hosing.

Come on down on Sunday Jimmay and bring your gear. Bring the other Daltons too. You lot are naturals for buckets.

Okey tokey, of course the first screen I get is people wandering along the track. Sheesh, can they time the screenshots so it takes pix of the racing and not the changeovers lol.

Looks like we've sent some of our crap weather down there - but thanks for sending us some sunshine today, it's much needed.

Yes it bringings back memories of the BOB snow race. The idea is to keep warm and dry (and not lose all your engine mounting bolts :o )
