Bidge at Waitakaruru out

I just saw on the news : The bridge at Waitakaruru (where the Kaiaua rd comes out) on SH 2 has collapsed after a truck passed over it and pipes caught on the bridge. The traffic is using the adjacent bridge in the other lane

Incident Type: Bridge collapse

The Grey Bridge at the intersection of Miranda Rd & SH25 Waitakaruru has collapsed just after a truck had driven over it.
The truck and driver safely cleared the bridge before the collapse.
There are two bridges at the intersection and the second one is being now being used for all traffic.
Transit & Police are on the way to the scene and any diversions will posted as they come in.

Update
Fulton Hogan contractors are managing the scene at Waitakaruru.
They are going to use the other bridge for all traffic, no other diversions are in place.
Traffic may be slower than normal but will be flowing.
