Without this visionary there would be nobody looking to the future! We should be thankful for his wisdom and the predictions he makes. He has been instrumental in saving thousands of lives and we don't even realise it yet. I would like to say "Thank you Ken, you are the man."

I for one am listening to my cats and catching the next dolphin to Alpha Centuri!

Take Ken with you please. Don't need to take him all the way. Anywhere outside Earth's atmosphere will do fine. Oh, and better take your asbestos undies as Alpha Centauri is a star and may be a tad toasty on the tootsies.

What better place to practice for my next coming!

If your next coming is on Alpha Centauri I hope you wipe it off and say sorry!

It's not compulsory to listen/believe Ken Ring, he can say what he likes, you are still free make up your own mind!

It's no different to listening to and believing a GNS scientist, the "choice" is yours!

That's fine for people who have the brain to examine what he says, understand it as well as the conventional science and then form an informed opinion. They are probably not the ones who get scared and ran away. I feel sorry for those who take his word as gospel because him allocating dates to his predictions sounds so much more believable than the geologists who say that you can probably expect this trend to happen but we can't be sure. But we've done this argument to death previously. Moving on.

So Chicken Little rules, while we simply move on and leave him to it  Yeah right, that sounds like a good plan!

I have an ability to predict earthquakes (nothing to do with rolling my ass outa bed either). I can tell you that there will be a major event in NZ that will cost the lives of many people after August. There will be major subsidence and liquefaction. You heard it here first.

Don't come crying to me when it happens and ask me why I didn't give you an exact time and date. I made the prediction - I don't dabble in specifics.

If thinking outside the square was banned

So when the ABs lose the RWC, there shall be riots and blood in the streets? subsidence due to people pounding the ground with their fists and stamping their feet? Liquefaction due to the rivers of tears being cried? :innocent:

Was I misunderstood? Refer to the first three sentences of post #2 for clarity on my feelings.

What really rips my undies though is that last night's appearance on TV was probably not at his instigation. Did TVNZ think that things were slowing down so we could do with another dose of Ken Ring to keep people interested? If so ... that's a pretty cynical move and Mr Ring has my sympathy for being used in that way.

Ken Ring is not alone, there is just so much information out there forecasting this and forecasting that about the powers of the Universe it gets mind boggling!

My point is simply that it is not compulsory to believe it, I didn't think the GNS guy tonight was any more convincing either!

Canterbury GNS were right there in Christchurch University and never had a clue that it was going to happen right under their noses and they were directly effected by it all!

Nobody knows the answers entirely "yet" but I would not write off any suggested theory until it can be proved otherwise without a shred of doubt.

The next 18 -24 months will sort out a lot of these theories, I find it at least, interesting!

I wonder if I will be laughing or crying in two years from now, or, according to some, even here at all! :shifty:

Hope I don't die of old age or something before I get the answers!

If it is all as powerful as is suggested then there is nothing we can do about it anyway, so! :whocares:
