I have now seen first hand, the effects on people around me. I am interested to hear about how others here view the substance.
I know alot of people like a good doob before or during a ride out. How does this compare to smoking Kronic and riding?
Does marijuana or Kronic use affect our ability to make good decisions when on the road? If so, does one or the other pose a greater risk?
A balanced discussion if we can please ladies and gentlemen.

Depends on how you're smoking it.
The pre-rolled joints usually just give me a less potent version of the green stuff plus a bonus headache. All the usual shit - paranoia, drys, munchies etc.
Buckie 1 left me feeling weird, kinda on edge and not so good. Mild effect but didn't really affect my judgement too much.
Buckie 2... managed to convince myself that wifi is just some bullshit made up by some fascist in government because, like, how do like the packets and shit like, you know "go through the air" if you can't seeeee them mannnn???

I've smoked moderate amounts of cannabis regularly for some years now. Had to stop a few months back when I started working with heavy machinery and became subject to drug testing.
Switched to Kronic. The various flavours of it do have different effects. Tried them all; the one I've found to be good is their 'Skunk' flavour. I'd challenge any stoners among you to have a cone of it and tell the difference in its effect from normal quality bud. Seriously. Maybe everyone's experience is different, but all the regular pot smokers I've given it to have been reasonably impressed.
The smoke itself isn't as nice, but it's palatable. It's an entirely acceptable substitute. If I wasn't getting tested for THC at work, I'd probably smoke the real thing - but maybe not. There's a lot to be said for a product that's legal, has guaranteed potency which is the same every time, and is available down at the local dairy.
I recommend investing in a couple of ounces of it before the current legislation to take it off the shelves passes, folks, because it won't reappear for a while.
Of course, if work ever decides to start testing for synthetic cannabinoids, I'll be back to just being an alcoholic.

I haven't noticed too much difference between the legals really. I find that FTP does the trick nicely, more so than the 3 Kronics I've tried... it tastes a little like pipe tobacco (no bad thing imho) and hits hard when you load up a single skin. I've only tried the V2 once and it was ok, but it takes a lot to get a stone on.
The thing that cracks me up and has always cracked me up about having a smoke, is that soooo many people think you need to load up your smoke with nothing but the drug. Personally I make a normal ciggy and put a gentle dust across the top, just enough to remove the "edge" and not end up glued to the couch or ceiling. I could quite easily drive (but won't), although I probably wouldn't attempt riding as I'm bad enough when I'm "straight".
Pleasant substitute, but not the real thing... I miss that taste and smell of cannabis

Heh, a couple of us quit toking for a few months a while back. One of the first things we noticed was that we weren't sleeping well at all... and I mean really really not sleeping well in comparison to before we had stopped. Stresses of our work environment probably didn't help etc... meanwhile back on the sauce, blissful uninterrupted/uninterruptable (even wife coming home at stupid oclock cannae wake me (unless she tries, bitch)) slumber.

How can anyone actually like the flavor of beer anyway. Water is a great way of cooling down and re-hydrating
alcohol Is what we run our cars on, if you drink too much you can't walk, speak or think properly. If you drink a little bit more you drop your standards in woman, food and conversation and make bad choices (like getting on a bike). Continue to drink heavily for a long period of time and you start to kill your liver, brain and kidneys.
Then you start to get pissed off at everything, beat your wife, kids or some stranger on the street. And when you wake up in the morning regardless of how much fluid you drunk the night before, you are severely dehydrated. Also alcohol is the cause of death to a large number of people every year
When you smoke weed you cough, get stoned and have a laugh. If you smoke alot more than normal in one night you will be a cabbage on the couch who cant be bothered going out, you'll eat food which is a good thing, you'll go to bed at a reasonable hour then wake up feeling good in the morning. Continued use will see you doing some harm to your lungs (about half what smoking tobacco will do) loose some short term memory (not unlike alcohol) and it may demotivate you slightly (about the same as what stress does). There have been no recorded deaths directly linked to the heavy use of cannabis as far as I'm aware ever.
Then you have Kronic or synthetic drugs. well to start with, so far in its short time in production we have found it gives you bad headaches and some types contain synthetic, addictive prescription drugs. I'm not gonna give it any chances to show me any other unknown side affects.

Don't condone drink driving, but i still drink as much if not more than i used to (late 70's this is), I think i'm one of the more controlled and know when enough is enough, but very seldom is that after one or two beers and yeah it's a challenging decision to ride or not !

usually it isn't, but some of us have decided - that in our opinion - your opinion doesn't mean a tin of shit.
Is there some history here or was that just a cunting post?

Just cunting from what I can tell. Sorry if I offended/annoyed you Marty (and Marty's friends), but you need to go untie your knickers I think.

I guess "Unapproved-by-government-man-made-chemical-shit-of-unknown-origin-and-proportions" is just too much of a mouthful...
Even if it IS a tad more accurate.

Cool, ban it and make the completely-natural-and-no-one-has-ever-died-from-it stuff legal and we'll all be happy! (literally!)

The prevailing argument when alcohol is discussed in relation to cannabis is that alcohol is already legal but we shouldn't legalise any more harmful substances. You've said this yourself.
Therefore using the same argument Kronic is already legal and the efforts should be put into stopping new products becoming legal rather than banning current legal ones. Right?
Or should we review legal substances and ban those that cause harm? Which would have to include alcohol......

I cant ever imagine having a toke before going for a ride on the bike. I used to smoke alot of weed and all it did was make me paranoid. Then, one day after smoking way too much I had a panic attack. Convinced myself that I was having a stroke...... never touched the stuff since then.
As for Kronik. Never tried it but, if it is anything like weed then I would imagine it would probably have the same effect on me. Dont trust it.
