Was dribbling in another thread and dragged out some pics of my old Yamahas.
This was my second XS on top of Mt Wellington, Hobart.
Grant's Z1 was always immaculate too.

At the time, that black'n'gold scheme had a profound effect on me. Still does when I see it on the occasional R1.
OK, then...
one of two CB350's I had back in the late 70's...

I used that bike to travel and work near Tarras - in mid-winter. Had to leave a heater on all night in the garage, otherwise it wouldn't start. Rode it over and back through a snow-covered, iced-over Lindis Pass to get to Sth Canterbury for a party. Happy, happy times...:yes:

No rules in a BD thread.
Whatever you fancy reminiscing about.

Same bike at the end of the earth. Nullabor Plain 1980-ish.

Perth's at the end of the Earth - the Nullabor is just an indicator of what's in store........

The way the featureless plain just ends and falls vertically into the abyss of the Bight is like 'here be dragons'.

Culturally Perth is the end of the earth.

Yep - and lived in WA and Tas for more than a year.
Gore is a friendly and progressive town compared to being from Sydney and living in WA.

I tried this a few years back BD, trying to get people to post pics of their old bikes.

Good to see the old favourite CB400/f Supersport comes up again and again. Great machine for it's time.

Some of mine here;
