cheers Buddy. I have an interest in the ridersdiscount show dude, they build and sell awsome stuff and TJ and Brian the owner are personell friends, it;s called GIVE BACK to them for what they have and are doing for me:sunny:

I have asked them to NOT sell one product to the NZ area only, ( Out of respect)anything else is fair play as far as I am concerned

I actually saw a 675 that had been fightered in Melbourned. Guy had bought a cosmetic damaged 675 and put it back on the road as cheap as possible. It looked OK too: not really like a Street Triple: it had clipons still and a wicked headlight. I didnt have a camera with me unfortunately.

Bloody nice ! I notice the front and rear sub-frames are the same ones I have on my 675 - only I HAD to use them AFTER I wrecked the factory ones
Much cheaper - rear sub-frame $400 from House of Custom in Pearoa - from Triumph $2400 for factory item  front sub-frame $199 from House of Custom $400 from Triumph.
All the fruity bits for the motor would be cool - I better get a job

Be interesting to see how the new 675R goes in sports production (or whatever the class is called ) :)

Yeah the new 675R is a tasty bit of kit alright. But as our rules stand i dont think it would be eligible as there are only 6 comin to the country.....not enough for homologation me thinks.
It would be a weapon in Stock production with a good rider............. but it still has the old offset on the forks which was its downfall with handling. If aftermarket triple clamps were allowed.........it might be a different story even in Sports production.

Im sure Shaun has an opinion on this one..........shaun

Funny that, me having an opinion haha

I removed the spacer at the top of the shock between the chassis and played around wtih fork ride height ( Robert CKT Modified the forks) and I Loved the 657 I had, solid as a rock.

They sit to high off the ground giving a radical centre of gravity making them very easy to turn in, but a real pig to transfer from one full lean angle to another, causing exsessive push on the front end, tyre contact.

Apart from that, they sound as HORNY as a women on song:facepalm:

Was told by dealer that there are only 6 ear-marked for NZ this year.
There maybe more...... but probebly only customer ordered ones. Plenty of the standard models available............ which are nice........ but the R is sooooooooo sweeeeeeeeet:yes:
The standard ohlins fitment suspension would give it an immeadiate edge specially in stock prod class.

Best you order another 4 then eh. They do NOT NEED to be in the country at time of/for homologation, they just need to have been ordered--- Id kill to race one here

The 675R is a beautiful bit of kit there is no doubt.

Triumph put a very good stratergy in place and have done a masterful media promotion for getting rid of there stock all be it with some very nice bolt ons:love: so very clever. However, it may not be to long before another 675 becomes available:facepalm: I wonder if this time the engine has been reworked:innocent:

I reckon they need to enlarge the slugs 100cc each for a special edition 975 daytona se as well as having the middle weight 675 would make a tuff road bike

Thats not 100% true in all sincerity. The production spec of that TTX36 rear is lower spec at the request of Triumph as the bike manufacturer to meet cost ceilings. Unlike the aftermarket TTX36 it lacks an internal top out spring, it also lacks an external ride height adjuster, something that you really should have on a race bike. It also lacks a hydraulic preload adjuster, substituted with lower cost castellated lockrings. If it had all that stuff the bike would be more expensive.
There are 2 very solid advantages with properly designed hydraulic preloaders, as follows;

1) Very rapid ''in and out of'' pitlane spring preload changes. You can establish the effect of changes within short, compressed practice sessions.

2) The ''rock'' in the interaction between the fixed and moving spring push parts compensates for spring untruth. No spring is square! Or even if they are dynamically they place huge side thrust loads that wears bushings / piston rings and magnifies friction. If you can in part compensate for that the friction reduction and therefore shock response can be significant.
I have a couple of year 11 GSXR600 oem rear shock springs here and the difference in height when measuring opposite sides is over 2mm.

The NIX30 cartridges are also not quite the same as the aftermarket ones. The stuff will still work way better than the very dire lower spec stuff they fit but it still needs work to bring it up to racetrack performance and quickness of adjustability standards.
