Hi there. I have posted in the bike gear thread too for a range of ideas.
I have had my Dririder gears since I brought my Scorpio 4 years ago. Still going very strong. I did purchase some Condura pants with removable liner from 1Tonne which wear great to. Unfortunately don't fit now as I brought them before I got preggers. The problem that I have is my build. I have quite big hips which overall I find it hard to get a nice fitting pair of jeans anyway.
I still wear my Dririder Nordic pants - They fit slightly more snuggly now as I have had a baby who is now 2.5yrs old. Still need to lose a few more kilos to get down to my ideal weight.
I don't want this to put me off getting out on the bike. I still have good gears but would like to purchase another set of pants which suit my build.
Any suggestions?

If you can get up to Auckland, go and see Kerrie at MSW:

She is awesome. She will custom-make gear at a really good price, providing perfect fit, with flattering style and cut.

Worth checking out.

Have to say looking at that website, being a larger girl myself, that the look and the prices are pretty darn good! Might have to investigate further!

Yeah, Kerrie specialises in women's gear (although does men's stuff as well). No matter what your shape, she can style the gear to emphasis the nice curvy bits, and disguise the less flattering bits of anatomy. She does it well - the two-piece she fitted for my other half is awesome - made (in Kerrie's words) to accommodate "a magnificent bosum", and hide the "mummy tummy"...:innocent:

Out-of-towners beware that such a detailed custom fit will require two or three fitting visits. We're from Dunedin, and Kerrie quite happily spread the fitting over six months (to fit in with our travel plans).

Another +1 for Kerrie's custom made gear.

But if you lose weight

I have found the Palmy m/c shops have a great range of gear in bigger sizes if you can get up that way...better than Welly and Hutt shops

I've got big hips/small waist, and the only pret-a-porter pants that fit well enough were the Rev'It Female Fit: roomy hips and adjustable waist.
