So we're coming off the back of a couple of races where riders seem to have almost rediscovered dueling, dicing and fighting for positions in the race. ;) Looking forward to more of that. :yes:

Thought we might start this one off with some pretty pictures of the merkins @ Laguna — Nicky (http://superbikeplanet.com/image/2006/mgp/USGP/blinded-me-with-science/8ydl.htm), Ben (http://mototribu.com/competition/motogp/2010/course/010usa/photo/001_mgp/009_10/motogp_spies_03_usa_2010.jpg) and Colin (http://bikeracenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Edwards-race-action-MotoGP-Laguna-Seca-2010.jpg).

Oh, and a rumour has been confirmed (http://motomatters.com/news/2011/07/19/ben_bostrom_confirmed_as_lcr_motogp_wild.html).

Laguna Seca.

1= Stoner

2= Spies

3= Lorenzo

4 = Simo

5= Hayden

It's too tough a circuit for Pedro's shoulder with the corkscrew etc...

It'd be good to see Spies and Hayden (and Edwards) do well in this one.

could be an awsome battle between Stoner and Dani...I was troubled to hear Lorenzo complain about arm pump,that could be a bad thing to have at Laguna.I think the Hondas will be hard to beat there,the yamahas seem to be better on flowing tracks

I think Stoner will get the bike setup down this time, since he's bitched about it for the last 2 stages. My prediction:

Stoner
Spies
Lorenzo
Rossi
Dovizioso

Will be an epic battle between Rossi and Dovi.

Spies
Edwards
Hayden

+1 in any order. And Bboz 4th for shits & giggles.

... Will be an epic battle between Rossi and Dovi.

Now that the riders seem to have developed a taste for it again (in recent races anyway), I think there will be more than a few epic battles across the field.

I'd say we are going to see exactually his prediction, which one we will not know untill the race though, he is gunna try so hard to win there, and binning it will not be a problem with his team either if he does---- what ever the result it WILL BE massive media exsposure for Yamaha in the USA

Pedrosa said that he just tried to do aas many laps as possible--trying, obviously for a good race set up.

Stoner said that they chased set up for the entire session.

Lorenzo said that he was in some pain from his traction control off crash in practice, but it was manageable.

Spies crashed late in the session unhurt, Nick Hayden crashed later in the session as well.

Valentino Rossi languished down the order for most of the session but pushed hard late and qualified an uncomfortable seventh.

Two great riders battling it out for the championship and that's probably a telling victory.

Ben "win it or bin it" Spies? Well I thought he might make the podium because Danny was still injured but never even looked like it. 15 secs behind his teammate who had eased off, banging heads with Dovi once again. What a shame Rossi's not still on that Yamaha... imagine the battles we'd be having then.

Yeah I seriously would've thought the home crowd could give him the 1/2 sec he needed each lap!

That musta really pissed off the Stoner knockers, ha ha. :yes: :yes:

Yeah dude...fuck i shat myself when he did that, it could have gone all wrong really easily! He sure does have giant balls

He certainly did. Mind you, Stoner had a HUGE biff in practice at the last round and was no doubt sore. Either one of those biffs could've finished their seasons for them...

To do it at turn 1 takes seriously large gonads to pull off,Casey pulled harder today eh.

Can't help but feel tho that he only had to beat two walking wounded at a particularly hard stop/start track and Stoners show of emotion afterwards looked more one of relief than dominance.

Hahaha...pity your boy beat up on a beaten up Stoner last round then eh? I reckon Lorenzo shit himself so badly when Stoner rode round the outside of him that he threw in the towel.

Who fucken cares they are all injured in one way or another at some point for Jorge to go that fast for that long I dont think his injury had much affect at all. Stoner was and is the man and he showed it by never giving up and when it mattered the most he put the hammer down hard and smoked them all:love:

Nothing special. Rossi did it like 4 times last year in that race. That gp was nothing compared to before.

I think people are getting more and more used to the shit boring races these days. You can even tell the commentators are starting to sound like they are faking it now.

Well I prob shat myself then too!! I get really excited whenever I watch gp and sweet passes

Just curiously, have you seen the racing live?? Seeing it in the flesh and knowing how fast that is it always blows my mind!

And I don't necessarily think it's more boring than before at all

if you think that pass round the outside was nothing special you are in need of some perspective.And it was Stoner passing Rossi there not the other way round.

Casey gets it done in a careful, methodical, calculating way. Waited 2 laps for the tyres. Setup Pedrosa and pulled a pass that Simo dreams about doing properly. Then he hunted down Lorenzo and ripped his head off and shit down his neck.
Crasher Stoner has graduated people. Love him or hate him, he is a class act!:first:

Do you Stoner fanboys even watch these races! or are you to busy creaming yourselves over his missus?

Lorenzo and Dani had the wood over your man at the start..he was struggling.

Once Dani faded (nothing new there tho) and he got past Jorge,Casey was setting the slowest times of the whole race to pull away.

No Jorge dropped away coz he's seriously injured...his ride was the strongest one.

So how come Stoner has won 5 out of the ten races? Has Lorenzo been 'seriously injured' for them all? Thought not. As I said...you seem to be forgetting Stoners HUGE biff at Germany. Chances are he was every bit as sore as Lorenzo was this round. He just didn't put on a huge act climbing the podium steps like Lorenzo did!

Not true dude Casey was doing consistent 1.21's at the start, pulled back in the middle (probably to conserve tyres, saving them for a full on attack near the end -nice tactics) and then did what he planned

And yeah like what's been said, everyone has crashed and been sore

Burgess is quoted as saying there is no perfect set up at LS. The riders just have to throw the bike around the track.

I'm sure you'll find like any track, there are certain compromises that need to be made. But that's the same Burgess that heavily critisized Stoner for simply 'following' the other racers around at Assen last year when he got fourth. Seems remarkably quiet now his 'boy' is following the others round in 6th/7th etc.:shutup:

Last time I checked you win a race by being fastest at the right end of the race by being first to the flag. Using Jorges crash as sympathy is bollocks. Look at the meeting before and look what rossi done last year on his comeback ride from his broken leg etc etc etc Stoner won on the day because he done the best job and rode the smartest race.

You're right but it's not much use arguing with eelracing - he's probably just an anti-Stoner. There's nothing the poor bugger can do to get the respect he deserves from those types.

Actually, as a Stoner fan, can I add that I thought Rossi gave it a phaarkin good shake with what he had to sit on. If it had been someone like Troy Corser he would have pussied around and thrown a tanty in the pits. Rossi is still all business.

I just wanna say that I am SICK of sky cutting the footage short, that was the second or third time this season that we have missed rider interviews. Useless pricks.
Bloody brilliant riding by Stoner, very impressive, the guy is showing his true worth. Also, have to hand it to Lorenzo, he is proving to be an incredibly consistent and fast racer. He is also becoming less of an arse and he matures, so I dare say I will be a supporter of his before not too long.

What's screwed up though is that if you watch the highlights later you will see the interviews.

Oh... for motogp subscriptions- do you get to view complete onboard demonstration laps for every track? Also, can you view the race onboard? The website does not say.
