I've had my FXR150 for almost a month now and I haven't been for a ride

I started by searching for gear. Got a Qmoto leather jacket, 1Tonne textile pants, DriRider gloves and most recently a Shoei Raid 2 which I am massively impressed with. Still looking for comfy boots.

On the bike, I wanted to make sure it was all running ok. I knew there was rust in the tank so I sealed that. I looked in the air box and noticed the filter was ruined so I took it off and have been looking for a new filter. The next part after the air box is the carb so I took that off yesterday, took it apart and cleaned it up then put back together.

I also learnt how to change my brake fluid and once I have my air filter I will warm it up and learn how to change the oil and filter... Then it's ride time!! :scooter::woohoo:

Someone in my house threw out the cage that holds the filter. I have a filter now but I'm not sure if it'll fit the cage and hopefully I can pick one up tomorrow. Then it's the weekend and ride time for sure

Possibly. My dad is a toolmaker so if the cage and my filter don't quite match up then he'll help out. It'll probably be a bit nicer than something maoried up lol.

Good on you mate, half the fun is tinkering with bikes. But yeah, the other half is getting out there and riding! Get to!

That's great, just take it easy, and when you feel comfortable, then head out of town, but you might want to avoid the harbour bridge....
