1) Filter to the front of the queue
2) Assertively steer your bike directly in front of me so I can't go anywhere until you get out of the way
3) Start to daydream so when we get a green light I'm left waiting for you to get your shit together
4) Accelerate away so slowly that we were both left for dead by Aunty Mavis in the white Jazz who was in the next lane.

A hot head you doesn't like bikes might consider that more than enough of an invitation to simply drive over the top.

If you were a chick on a Honda on Bealey Ave around 1pm yesterday, this is of particular relevance to you.

I'm worried, I meet 1 of your conditions :( I stay in line in traffic, but I agree. If you are going to filter, you better be the first to the other side of the intersection.. (safely of course)

Also, if you aren't waiting for the light to go green, then what are you doing on the road?! This annoys me the most, many times I have been at a light, I have waited patiently for the person to go when it goes green... they don't... I honk.. they go when it turns orange... I wait.. :(

"How NOT to filter at the lights [...]"

Why shouldn't we filter to the front? Or am I reading this wrong?

Don't filter in front of another bike if said bike is already at the front!

More specifically it's not holding people up after you've pushed to the queue in front of them. Something some of the scooter riders don't get. I filter up in front of other bikes all the time (well alongside at least).

A mate's Dad once pushed him into the middle of an intersection for the same transgression. He simply bumped his K75 up to the back wheel of the mate's RG250 and proceeded to push the RG through the intersection.

Next time mate, next time.

I believe the whole point of filtering to the front is so you get away first and are not held up by other traffic?

So the shiela mentioneds in the O.P. kinda missed that point eh!

On this point I'll get to the front and move left or right if i can to allow another bike through to the front also.
