VMCC Winter series Round 3, Streetstock 150

I went to the test day had a few good sesions. We left the bike at the track

Stayed at Dad's mates house. Arivved at the track at 8ish, signed in and had riders briefing.

Practice was dry with a cold track. I went out by myself to test the grip on the cold track and to find some more reference points.By the 2nd lap the tyres had warmed up so I started to push a bit harder. My best lap time was !:34.728

Race 1 was dry with a cold track. I got a good start into turn 3 Aaron (Aaron Carr, #42 250 Ninja) passed me up the inside. Lap 2 turn one Neil (Neil Chappell, #176, RG150) passed me, I followed him and Aaron for the rest of the race. I came 3rd. My best lap time was 1:33.752

Race 2 was dry with a cold track. I got an alright start Damon (Damon Smith, #14 CBR250) came passed I got him back into turn 1. Coming out of Higgens on lap 2 a 250 came passed. I had no other bikes to race with for the rest of the race. I came 3rd. My best lap time was 1:31.660

Race 3 was dry with a cold track. I got a good start passed a couple of bikes. Lap 3 apexing turn 1 the pipe hit the ground wich made the front wheel lift up and make me run wide. Once
I got back on the track Neil came past, I thought to myself I should have bought him a pie at lunch. I slip streamed him down the straight into Higgens I almost got past but I didnt have enough speed. Into dunlop I got passed up the inside but I ran wide and he came back trough. On the last lap into Dunlop I hung back a bit so I could keep good speed through the corner, I slip streamed him then I pulled out through the kink some how I managed to get past. I beat him by .021 of a second for 2nd place. My best lap time was 1:31.170

Love the reference to pie procurement Tyler. Very funny, although it may earn you a kick in the pits,(yours or the tracks) at the next round. You are learning lot's of racecraft by the sound of it and you also seem well aware of what's going on around you.(Big picture). Must be able to tune out the tunnel vision from your bucket racing experience. Well done.

p.s..spell check just in case a prospective millionaire is reading your reports.

Well done Tyler.

What impressed me with your post (ignoring the spelling, I've seen worse), is the fact you've taken some previous comments on board about linking to mylaps, using last names (and taking it further with bike numbers etc).

Keep up the reports. If there's any millionaires out there reading the reports, they should be happy to see them and not stress too much about the spelling.

On that note, though, could you edit one spelling mistake in the original report. I got a bit tripped up by it, then realised where you said you got "passed", you meant you got "past". I inititally thought that you must have another bike up your date that overtook you, but figured it out.

Just start taking a tray of pies along, get a mini oven to heat them during the day and the competition won't be leaving the pits hahaha

Thanks for that I never knew the difference between "passed" and "past"

It's great to see so many take him under their wings, and that is due to his lovely personality (great testatment to his dad, I say).
