Nice historical video (sorry graphics are in Japanese but the vids are great).
I have been twice to the 8 hour.
It is an amazing event and should be on the calendar of any race fan.

Thought about going to the GP there but worried now that my balls will glow in the dark when I get back. I also heard all the hotel beds are only 4ft long and all you can eat is rice and fish. Can you confirm for we travelers the conditions that said spectators must endure?

The place is exellent to spectate at and food shops that any one eat from are all with in a 30 minute walk from the track accomodation is easy to get if booked way in advance as the 8hr is a big deal in Japan. Beds are normall NORMAN

Am actually going to the Japan GP this year as well (2 in one year! Mugello and Motegi).
Am not in the least worried about radiation there. Independent reports say that Italy or German GP sites have MORE radiation...
Oh shit - so I was in Italy and I will be in Japan - will let you know if my balls do glow after that!

talking about Suzuka for the 8 hour - yes and the side shows and brolly dollies walking around are brilliant. Motegi and the GP - not so good in that area. I stay in Utsunomiya - a nothing town - but there are buses that take you from the station to the circuit.

I reckon it'd be a sick event to attend... eating a donburi watching the bikes at arguably the best track in the world.
Where can we watch it live on internet does anyone know?

Jeez there's some top blokes there and some IOM robbers to boot. But how the Phuck do you decipher all the other dudes with ( birdhouse, outhouse, letterbox, chickenscratch, and inkblots) for names then? It's like reading a bloody chinatown menu. I'll have the cat that tastes like chicken please, 4 legs for me.( Side effects include being hungry ten minutes later and an overwhelming urge to lick your own arse.)
