Okay, better do this, since it's the first new bike in six years.

Presenting, the new bike - 2008 GSF1250S Bandit, in black of course.
17,000 kms on it, and very nice to ride.

Many thanks are due to white trash and crasherfromwayback for putting up with me while I was looking for the bike, and of course to white trash for finding the perfect replacement for the mighty RF900R - not that it's being replaced really, just another addition to the stable, being the RF900R and a GSX750S3 Katana in restoration.

Nice Riff

But what's wrong with just using Brents when he loses his plastic?

If you don't absolutely love riding this bike, check your pulse, you're probably dead...:innocent:

I'm a fan of RoadAttacks - I've been running them on the RF900R for nearly three years now.

Not too sure on the RoadAttack on the front of this one - I'm more a fan of the SportAttack on the front but so far they've been pretty good.

When it comes time to replace them I'll be putting RoadAttack2's on it, having enjoyed them on the SuperDuke I've been looking after for the last couple of months.

Cheeers for the response, I'm putting SportAttacks on front and rear of my speed triple this weekend and thought I'd ask :sunny:

SportAttacks are bloody amazing!

Before putting a SportAttack on the front of the RF I had a Supercorsa SC2 and that sucker stuck like superglue. After that I thought anything else would be suicidal in comparison but TBH it really held its own and with over 5,000 kms on it still had a beautiful round profile - and the RF really carves a triangular profile on its tyres.

So I reckon on a Speed Triple you'll be laughing - not to mention carving up corners like there's no tomorrow.

Enjoy!!!

I run Road Attacks on my 650 Bandit but Pilot Road 2s on the 1250 ... I don't chuck the 1250 around like the 650 - it's more my long distance bike ... and I find them better long distance cruising tyres .. but still grippy enough when I do open it up

Went and scrubbed the SportAttacks in today (good way to avoid the Mother in Law:woohoo:) and WOW! I have a whole new bike. Its sooo good having a nice profile on the back, the RoadAttack 2 that was on the back when I got the bike had most likely spent its life on a motorway. And yes, good tyres and the noise my bike makes on overrun had me laughing like an idiot

Did you get your pretty new bike out on such an awesome winters day?

Yep I sure did. Oldest boy was competing in the Wellington Judo Open Tournament today so we both went in on the bike. The pillion seat gets a major thumbs up from Tim!
