Well, the bike is still sitting forlonely in the garage two weeks after the rain drenched round 3.
The rider tossed it down the road in the first race when he high sided AFTER the hairpin. The bike is not too bad, a very bent steering dampner and some minor cosmetic damage on the right. Broken brake lever and bent clip ons, broken rear sets and rear brake lever as well. no biggie, i have a lot of spares.
i'll need to drill the broken bolt out for the swingarm spool but i've ordered new ones from ebay. got to find some quick release fasters for the body work as well.
roll on round 4. hope the bloody weather improves. i was coughing all the way up on drive back to the mighty auck.
if the new sub harness arrives in time, i'll wire up the factory ECU and get some extra ponies under the bonnet! hmmm, wonder how the rider will cope if he can't stay on with the standard engine!
i think he said he hit some mud that was left on the track from some previous car outing. Barry New and others said that he was well out of the corner and i also thought the same, so it wasn't a case of too much throttle while he was cranked over.
if it doesn't stop raining, i'll take up stamp collecting!
see you guys down there for round 4!
