Was being a dick today for the first time in years (I do not want to go in to details), end result is, very sore and a very, very smashed bike.

Keep it careful guys and gals, no need for ACC stats and whatnot, let me being a wanker be a lesson. No need to have avoidable accidents/crashes.

That is all, I shall get my coat.

Quick edit: As I am usually very careful I was wearing full gear (Always do). If I wasn't, there would be lots more pain.
Quasimoto 2 piece did uber well and I cannot cay enough about it.
Helmet didn't hit the road.
Ripped a seam on the new Teknic gloves, impressed with how well they did too.
Boots are fine, they've been through hell and back.

Still repairable and all that junk?

I was being a dick last week. Went to go for a right hander, looked for traffic, in the distance, and on the way towards me. All clear, started to look into the turn, and somehow a car was right in front of me. Panicked and grabbed a front load of the brake. Almost shit me pants to think what would have happened if I didn't see it. :gob:

I don't want to be a dick anymore...

ducatilover
4th August 2011, 20:27
Yeah, it does happen, but, these things can be so avoidable.
I'm hoping she's repairable, I have spare everything except forks and fairings, so I imagine I can build it up again.

Bloody hell Oblivion, that can't have been fun :gob:

And it was probably a heck of a lot of fun right up until it suddenly wasn't...

I had decided I was out of practice with my clutch up wheelies. I got more and more cocky and then ended up riding upside down  I had her up pretty high and had a throttle whoopsie, grabbed the clutch and stamped the rear brake.

I had forgotten to bleed my rear brake, it didn't work. :bye:

Lots of choice wheelies yesterday, now I'm broken as is the bike. Probably not worth it....would have looked awesome though and no-one else got endangered (I'm not that retarded  )

Reckon install a wheelie engine-cut this time. Get a dirtbike for that sort of carry on. I think a lot of kwakas came out standard with them, they even went to the trouble of disguising them as loose wiring :shit: we can retrofit this technology :D

Ah, I'm as mad as a hatter, nothing can change that.

Been trawling the net, nothing to do, to see what kind of avenue I want to go down rebuilding her.
I think a ZX6R (late 90's, early 00's) tail or ZX9 tail unit would be nice, instead of the big fat ugly ZZR one (I have a spare one in the shed, they really are gay looking.)
Would like a K5 Gixxer or Z750/1000 headlight set up. Or even better, a ZX6/9 top fairing, cut to look like it's meant to be there.

Or something.
