Some dude stopped in at Jack's for a coffee today. He was on one of these...

I heard it come by and just had to go have a gawk at it and a wee chat with the rider...

Noice Boike! If somebody'd give me a heap of money I'd get one. But I'd keep the gixxer as well...

When I first got into road riding, I had my eyes already set on an NC30, didnt think I would ever get one, but Hey I have one now im and pleased.
Would like an EVO but I dont really have another bike in mind that I would really like to have,
I would like to do a cafe racer or bobber project thats about it though

Yea, I think exactly like you. The NC30 are awesome bikes. Once I get my full I plan on getting either a VFR400 and later a VFR800 Interceptor.

I would LOVE one of these...

http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/72593/Motorcycle-Photo-Gallery-Photo/2011-Triumph-Street-Bike-Models.aspx

In addition to the current stable of course (is one still classed as a stable?).

I like everything about the 848 apart from the front. I dunno what it is, it just looks like it's squinting to me. The wheels are sex, the ass is sex, the profile is sex, the sound...well that's even better than a triple ;) pity about the front. I suppose it would grow on me though

You can sit on one? I can only get one foot down on a stupid lean

That 848 would do the trick....Grouse machine.

If I wasn't a FOB I'd love a Duke. The only sound I prefer to a Harley is that of a Duke - sex in sound

I find the HD sound really irritating, doesnt have a tone, its just loud.
But, his to his own.

That's why I lost interest...plus the fact that my head felt like it was ahead of the front wheel...the gixxer, on the other hand, feels like a body suit.

I'm not the only one then.

Took one for a test ride, I'm a bit above average height (6'1") and even when I sat on it, I thought the saddle was a bit high. Then I left for the ride and it has such a short tank and such low clip-ons that I had to do some uncomfortable curve with my back to actually fit (I've only ever riddern sports bikes and because of my height, I'll have a straight back.)
a ~40 minute ride later and I was glad to get off the thing, with the suspension as hard as it was, it caused all sorts of judders and pains to my spine.
Might be fun on the track, but fuck me if I want one for the street. So I ended up going with something more mellow...

I felt the same on the 675, a mate of mine has a ZX6R and it feels like riding a pencil. The CBR and Gixxer fit me the best

Get away with ya both! :) My 5 foot small wife loves riding my 675 to work. Are I've jumped on it and ridden 3 hours after being off one for months. Piece of cake. I never got why people say they're torture racks. I feel comfy on one and I'm only 6 ft. I feel other sporties are too upright and their tanks are too big. But I do ride a skinny bike ;)

Oh yeah, and it's a known fact that chicks with big boobies feel more comfortable riding 675's then any other sporty because the tank doesn't get in the way :D

I digress, I want a Royal Enfield as well. Just to look pretty :)

I have to agree with ckai. I love my 675. I enjoy riding it immensly, on the other hand, I bought it instead of a gixxer. Who wants to be the same as everybody else...

And I have ridden a 675R. Alot of fun, and something unique and different..:msn-wink::weird::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:

As I'm old and grey, I don't see myself with my chest glued to the top of a fuel tank or with my heels jammed up the crack of my bum no matter how good looking the bike is. I'm a cruiser guy who's still improving his skills, and don't don't see myself on anything more than a Suzuki C50C fitted with M50 footpegs. Or just an M50.

don't think I'll be buying new tires anytime soon let alone a garage full of bikes!!!

still dreams are free......

I'm no spring chicken myself but I love the sporty seating position...just feels right to me. Cruisers, on the other hand, feel wrong.
