NO PICS YET! These will be added as soon as I can steal/borrow a camera

Selling my much loved Gixxer 400 to fund something learner legal, I really cant afford fines at the moment and as much as I love riding it, Its time to get sensible.

1986 model with square single headlight, pearl white/red, recent WOF (which it flew through with no dramas), currently rego'd and will be sold as such. Have just recently had the bike serviced by a Suzuki dealer about 3 weeks ago, carbs balanced, brand new Tsubaki chain fitted, new starter solenoid, brakes bled, tappets set, oils/filters/fluids etc, bike has covered barely 400kms since. Has excellent condition Michelin Pilot Activ tires fitted which have proved their worth in both dry and in the wet. Great fun little bike to ride, more than enough power for cutting around town and it certainly isn't phased by long trips and a good backroad blast on the weekends. 100% factory, completely unmodified although I have a feeling the baffles have been removed from the exhaust as it is definitely one of the throatier and louder factory exhausts i've heard, not that it sounds bad at all mind :devil2: Overall the bike's in pretty good nick for its age, it does have its scratches here and there but these will all be outlined in photos, has usual abrasion marks on the tank from jacket zippers and the like. Always warmed up before each ride, regardless of distance, kept undercover and looked after, have receipts for service etc. Being so old she does have one or two issues, they are:

- Ign. Coils getting a bit old, struggles to idle when warmed up fully, NOT a carb issue, i'm told, however runs sweet when cruising with no misfire under load

- Rear shock is pretty stiff and could maybe do with a rebuild or replacement, hasn't affected safety (our roads are terrible), but does get a little hard on your back and arse after a while...

Other than that, I cant fault her, would make an excellent commuter, a cheap step-up from a 250 or just a fun old-school bike, has definitely given me a few laughs in the year and a half i've owned it despite covering less than 2000kms. Asking $2700ono, or swap plus cash difference for a later model inline 4 or V-twin 250 naked or sportsbike, 2 or 4 stroke, just no parallels or singles :P
