Had to be done really,
Been here in the UK for some 3 weeks now, survived the riots as well as the warm beer and crap pies.
Anyway, thought I would pay one more visit to the ACE Cafe to have a feed and say goodbye. Its such an iconic biker venue which welcomes bikes and bikers, no matter what you ride, from 50cc twist and go scooters up to the biggest, loudest cruisers, sportys and cruisers you care to mention.
Yes, in Auckland area we have a few hang outs such as the Puhoi but I cant help thinking that an all embracing venue like the ACE would simply go down a storm in NZ, no matter what you ride........just me dreaming again.
Anyway, I had the special brekkie which included black pudding the size of tractor tyres and a good dollop of bubble and squeak. I grabbes some badges, decals and other regalia on the way out and I must admit, I was sad to say goodbye to the place. Its only a km away from where I was born and was a great place to be on a sunny Sunday afternoon when I were a lad. My dad used to drive by with me and my bruv, we would have the ice blocks and stare wide eyed at the shear number of bikes gleaming in the London sunshine. It was so good to be back here.
A few more piccies attached and I have many more.
Till the next time.......
