And it's always nice to see why people are actually on this site.

This one's mine ... I've spent hours and hours on it ... RIDING ...

Just changed the pannier system to Givi ...

The forward pegs were a temporary thing for a Chatto Creek 1000 miler rally ... about five years ago ... They're comfortable to use and I cant be bothered changing them ...

Other than that ... everything is standard ...

Daytona cams, modded airbox with K&N filter and custom built Harris pipes, Nology profire coils and high spec leads have lifted the power from 82 at the crank to 90 at the wheel and a flat torque curve with 56 ft lb, peak torque at just shy of 4500 rpm and 48 ft lb at 2000 rpm so it pulls hard in any gear.

Standard suspension and brakes as it seems to work fine although I will be adding braided lines soon.

I bobbed the rear guard and will powdercoating black triple clamps etc and as soon as the weather warms up I'll get my spray gun out and repaint it, thinking of flames or just a pearl on black. I'll be removing the front guard and wrapping the headers and flatter bars with possibly smaller clocks, aiming for a modern cafe racer feel. That should do for the time being.

Then I'll start on my BMW Airhead. At this stage I'll get it running and vinned, then I'm thinking bobber or similar...

dead Wright , if you don't use it, it don't brake, probably same as why i've not see you'r MHR since you bought it, but really, i dont get out that much and i flog it, when i do, to much riding with all the jappas, so i use the motard, or the Tuono 4b i sold it.

Just woundering, you guys with the SV's... do you like the TL? cos to be honest the TL has the 'horn' factor to me the SV is fugley, but... more refined, newer easer to ride. What is it that spins the wheels of the SV rider?

Yeah perceived value for money was a large factor, The fact that I could get a bike only a few years old with 6000k on the clock in mint condition for only a shade more than I paid for my 10 year old blackbird with 70000ks on it was a bonus.

As for the TL, It's a beast for sure but I don't actually like the rounded bulbous fairings, looks abit like a naked eye abuser, or a suzuki vtr 1000.

It's a work in progress. Changes have happened and it's a little more special now, including a newly designed exhaust system. Love or hate his posting style, he's more into his bikes and modifying (and not just buying parts off ebay) than most I know. He's halfway through making his own airbox for another bike, which in itself is almost more special than the SV(R).

Yeh I think I saw some shots of it somewhere, lots of bits of sheet welded together for a very angular muffler, which I guess is the bit poking out the back of the cowl. If only there was a mod sub-forum on here, he could post up a build thread, :sighs despairingly:

Know what you mean. I had my Z1000 in pieces when I spied the ZRX in Ch Ch. Since it wasn't in any state to sell I had to real nice to the Mrs so I could break into the savings to secure the ZRX beore someone else grabbed it. Sad to see the Z1000 go but rapped with the Rex.

Better join with Dangerous and list another Guzzi on here.(represent & all that?)

Heres my daily transport-
"PhatGirl" 95 Guzzi 1100 sport
Bought her as a lemon from a dodgy Dunedin bike importer (Now closed due to dodgy dealings...go figure huh)...Soon as I threw a leg over, I Knew I had to rescue her!
Spent hours & Hours in the shed stripping and rebuilding her (New clutch, bearings, loom rebuilt...list goes on & on lol)
She's running 41mm Keihin carbs (With Stealth Tech accel pump covers & mix screws), Full Termignoni race system & mufflers.
I have actually "detuned" her for petrol savings and easier chugging around town (stops the keihins from putting me into the back of car )
Unfortunatley the quakes have taken a toll her (fell on both sides...one side per quake )
Absolutely LOVE this bike

To be honest i dont mind your old girl in red.

I'd tap that GS in dazzle red too.

He's done it supposedly to be a Wes Cooley replica
Though if he'd done some research he'd have realised:
A) It's the wrong red & it was only on the fuel tank
B) Wes Cooley's GS1000 never sported a belly pan

Personally belly pans on a GS look the pox...to bulky and the seat cowl should have a swab on it.
He's ditched the pack frame & the dark tint screen & the headlight lense protectors
Least I removed the goodies in the wiring that isolated the restricter  so once 180 got nudged she'd go flat as a turd
