The rear wheel isn't turning....
Most probably a front wheel drive. :shifty:

Mechanic on the bars appears to be dragging the front brake to get some heat into the carbon discs. That or they're making sure some sensors are working.

Aye...or maybe even checking for a vibration etc that maybe the rider complained about?

look hard at the hub....and two small pipes heading to it....very similar to the ohlins front wheel drive system a few years ago.

Still, I don't think so eh (story on the Ohlins website (http://www.ohlins.com/Checkpoint-Ohlins/2WD---The-Complete-Story/Yamahas-Goal-With-2WD/)).

Basically, 2WD helps gumbies but gets in the way for the pro's.

Besides which, Ducati are having enough problems getting that thing to handle without doing something else new and unproved.

I rode a 2 wheel drive Christini. For an enduro bike its like cheating! The problem is if your riding one people think you are cheating so they are frowned apon

2wd AND 2 engines as well it must be! - otherwise why wouldn't they start the one engine that drives both wheels from the rear wheel as usual? (or the side mounted started) Logical conclusion is that the 2wd Ducati is also cunningly a 2 engined beast. Awesome! Now Rossi will definitely start winning again...

Thats just to stop the riders skirt getting caught in the spokes - my sister push bike had them :)
