First lovely spring-ish day that Balu and I have been able to get out on 2 wheels. We decided to head down to Pokeno (to the bacon shop, yum yum) and I offered for him to ride one way and he ride the other. (He's is now bikeless since his beloved burgman has a new owner).

He very kindly said he was happy to sit on the back all the way. So. I rode down with him as pillion - took me a few minutes to settle into having someone heavy behind me. All was good until I realised that having 105kg of man sliding into my rear was a tad uncomfortable after a while - being pressed up against the petrol tank 'n all...

I graciously insisted he ride home and I experience the pleasure of being pillion on my own bike. Very comfy!!

Anyone else enjoy riding on the back of their own bike?

Not I but, I have had a couple of heavyweights on the back before today..
Renegade Master was one and mnkyboy (david) was the other.
Both quite a bit heavier than me and no adjustment was made to the suspension which made for a couple of....'interesting lightish front end moments'...:shit:

I have no doubt at all a 105 kg man sliding into your rear would be painful!

A velcro cover for the rear seat stops all that, makes for a shit load of fun when they try to slide to off at the end also...

I've ridden pillion on my R6 plenty of times, it's not THE most comfortable bike to pillion on but certainly not the worst either!

Going pillion on my own bike actually helped me get over a bit of a mind block I was having with cornering a while back :D

I'm 6'3" and my mate is 5'6" ish, so with him on the back of the M50 with the King/Queen seat he's the ssme height as me. Thursday night South Auckland ride about 18 months ago, I let him ride back from Muddy Waters to Pukekohe. I was a full head & shoudkers over the top of him on the back. I did like it though. Weird in a different kind of way.

I'm sure that there are many Honda riders that know what you mean.
