I'm gonna call him Barney (even though he's not purple).
(He's just been refueling himself from the fishpond - he seems to prefer fish-flavoured water to clean water from his bowl).

Flatmates mate that comes around (Who used to hate the Pomeranian that lives here) just bought a Shih Tzu. Limp-wristed faggot.

Glad SOMEONE bought a proper companion. :wings:

My sister and sister-in-law both have silly yappy fluffy things - the sister some bichon-cross thingies, and the wife's sister some papillons. My wife was looking at similar non-dog frivolities, and I said, "Nup."
She showed me a pic of Barney and I said, "Yup". He's a golden retriever / border collie / poodle cross ("Gollie", or mebbe "Gollie Doodle"). He's smart, and doesn't yap. Just squeaks a lot - I think he needs oiling. Perhaps some WD40, or mebbe some Motul 5100.

Yeah, not a huge fan of dogs that yap at nothing or break legs from a couch jump.
Not kidding, either.
I advise against the DubbleyaDee, it'll just dry him out. I'd probably just go straight for the blue grease, but to each their own.

pets don't like the chlorine in water, so will drink out of toilets, showers, fish ponds etc.

chlorine evaporates out in a shallow bowl in around 24hrs

I just found out today which Barney he really is - number 2!
I had some empyty beer bottles lying around (OK, they were actually on the coffee table). I came into the room and the little bastd was giving 'em a very thorough tonguing!
I dunno, but I reckon 8 weeks old is a bit young to start drinking beer. (I didn't get pissed myself until I was 13...)

Here's another thing - I go to work for a mere 8 hours, and the troglodytes have taught him some new bad habits, like sleeping on the couch, eating potato chips (then vomiting them up again, then eating them again), digging holes in the path, etc. They could've at least taught him to chase cats, bark at the postman, that sort of thing.

Considering your new pup you might get a laugh out of this...

Well the guy who puffs a fair bit, gets aggressive enough to be tazed right in front of me in our lounge - hated dogs - just named his Shih Tzu puppy.

Flopsy
