Random acts of carnage, the big trucks certainly stand out for the devastation they can create ... :shit: Those poor innocent bystanders ...

When we were in Beijing, we were told to be careful on pedestrian crossings.......most drivers ignored them........

With a bit of practice Kiwi drivers could sound just like that too!:wings:
But main things I noticed:
Zero danger perception by motorists and pedestirans alike
Fail to know what side of the road they SHOULD be on
Speed way to high for the situation
Little awareness/adherence to basic road rules.
So yeah, just like Kiwis eh!

You mean they actually are pedestrian crossings? I thought they must have been some other road decoration.

Some of the better drivers you will see in their own country are the Japanese.
It's called "Traffic prison", they don't piss about with to many tickets,,after not many at all "you just go to prison" where it's the warden that decides when you've changed your attitude enough to get out.
Would work bloody well here,,,chuck in a bit of slave labor an it could even pay for it's self.

World Health Organization's estimates are that more than 600 lives are lost and more than 45,000 people are injured on China's roads every day.
People in low & middle-income countries suffer "about 90% of all world's road traffic deaths and disabilities" That could soon rise to 95% if the problem isn't confronted.
"The huge road toll in China accounts for the deaths of some 1.2 million men, women, and children each year". Estimates China will have half a million deaths each year by 2020.
