Just wondering what a zero hour, last model, 2001 MX Bike might be worth or, is it worth hanging on to ?

Don't you bloody dare!With fourstroke MX second hand prices tanking like crazy your bike is only going to be more collectable = big bucks.

Be patient and hang on to it.
