Will have to read rules when released next month. I would be thinking that as long as the rider qualifies for the Course Licence they should be good to go?

Something based on a Kawasaki Versys would fit the bill. They are using those motors in flat track in the US and seem successful.

actually there are an aweful lot of those kawasaki things over there in the irish road supertwin class, it even gets won by one, but it does have a mighty good rider on it.

I'll do a few 'race mods' of course, usual stuff like tape up the lights etc. Might put the 3.5 gal tank on 'cos I heard its quite a long course and I expect to be using full throttle occasionally. I guess I'll need a new set of tyres for the old bus as well.... You know - just in case... Do you think I'll need a fly screen?
