This has been sitting around awhile, there is corrosion on the spokes and a little more on the rotors etc. Should clean up okay I suppose. It is a low use bike, wouldn't be too bad. I was thinking about it, got some photos from the dealer, the price is way too much for what it is though. For about $4800, this would be a good price. Ex Ulysses owner as well.

Yep, good bike. Top notch suspension, good range, nice brakes, good power, not too heavy plus a subframe strong enough to swing a bit of luggage off. They do vibe a bit but bikes/sensitivity varies so get a ride on it & see.

Some of the pre 03 LC4's had a habit of lunching the LH gearbox mainshaft bearing so you'd want to budget on replacing that with the upgraded roller bearing if it hasn't been done already. Otherwise it should go hard with just regular servicing until about the 40K km mark when you might want to give it a water pump rebuild & some new cam bearings.

I agree the price is a bit high, around $5K would be good buying.

Check out the LC4 index on Advrider (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86958) for all you ever wanted to know.

Cheers
Clint

Usual thing with these is to add the 18L tank and comfort seat. Makes a mighty fine advtourer. Comfort has a big plus with decent suspension, but a big minus if you don't like the vibes.

Silly high price on that example, though.

The KTM LC4 (640) Thread Index (http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86958) is a great resource.

I wouldn't worry too much about the vibes. He won't feel his arms after about 40-50km's

Inquired about a trade on my R1, this is the complete reply, no hi, no thanks
someone needs some sales skills training.

Fuck you Warkworth motorcycles lol

"Sorry no we would not do a trade on your bike,Thanks for the enquirey"

They got this reply

Hi thanks , no problems, but what an unbelievable response !

You basically had a customer who has expressed interest in one of your products, and you clearly missed the opportunity to encourage further discussions or engage the customer in "another solution"
Sales isn’t hard, its about being polite and thinking positively about different solutions to different customers needs.

Here is a Link you might find useful however http://www.davidforman.co.nz/
