I have a Spyke jacket with padding (I cant remember the model) apparently about $500ish new (I got it off a mate).
Anyway I need some pants to go with it I prefereable with some half decent protection I don't mind if they are leather or if they are this plastic stuff my jacket is made off.
I don't mind if they are new or second hand but they have to be large/extra large.
Anyone got any for sale or know a shop that has some good deals in wellington?
Thanks!

I've got a pair of AGVSport cordura pants, extra large. I could cut you a deal for probably less than $200...
Pretty good order. Haven't been worn that much either. You could try them for a few days to see if you like them on a no-commitment basis.
PM me if you're interested.

ive only seen one type of spyke pants that arent leather (and i bought them as i have the matching jacket) but the are $590rrp and jacket was $745 so its probably not the same as your one. They are bloody comfy and warm tho!!! But im sure that there are other pants in the spyke range I just never came across them.
On the other hand if brand doesnt matter im sure you can find something in the $200s in the shops. Im sure fellas at motomart would give you a good deal being a kiwibiker member and all :ride:
Have you considered draggin jeans?

I am not sure about the draggin jeans but I think I want something with pretty good protection.
I will have a look at them but first thing will be to have a try of Hitcher´s

You should be able to get a pair of RJays Cordura pants for under $200 new-
waterproof with soft armour. Ring round the welly bike shops and see who will cut you a deal.
try a pair of the Spool pants, think they are about that.
And the Dragon Lady says they are well waterproof!

I bought a pair of the Spool pants for $120. Very water-proof and great as a first pair of pants but the quality is a little low (you get what you pay for eh?). Zips are starting to go quite quickly etc.

I was looking at some dry rider pants at wellington motorcycles... they looked pretty cool $350...hmmm and they have dry rider boots for $200 I think I will probably get at least the boots.
What do you guys think?

what do you guys think of Teknic Sprint pants?

What do you think of them?? Thats all that matters. I have IXS cordura pants that are great have never leaked but I haven't seen that brand advertised for a while. The teknics pants have a good rep tho. Find a pair that fit, are comfortable and have armour and buy them. Doesn't really matter if they don't exactly match your jacket... And doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of them either :)

I reckon it is, I just got a new pair of them.
Did you figure out what size fit you? I'm guessing you were trying on the Summit trousers?
I've got a 2XL pair for sale, if you're interested, have a look in the Online Trading section.

I tried on some size 34 that fit me really well they had hip and knee armor I think it is important what others thing as they have had experiences, such as accidents and also time riding so they can give some sort of an idea on how well they protect and how comfortable they are.
Thanks for the info guys.
