Go to supercrap and pickup a seat belt pad. This is nothing more than a fabric/foam pad that you zelcro around a seatbelt. Cut it in half and stretch it around both fork tubes. 4.99$ Done. :Punk:

Will they maintain a modicum of integrity long enough to not get sucked into the seals?

Are they vented to allow escape of condensation?

Yep, wouldn't want anything that retains mosture to be clamped around my sliders...

Yes, any moisture will go through the ''sponge'' and the chrome fork tubes ''will be soaking in it''.

So it will sponge it down over every bump. It will get very clean!!

I road my 80km communte for the first time in the wet today, I'll check them. They are not tight against the fork tubes, so the seals wont suck them in.

If they get nice an wet underneath, I might try some silicone spray to waterproof them....and luckily I found one that did not have silly embroidered designs in pink thread. Thanks for the concerns, I was not aware that these problems can happen. I suppose even if I bought the 80 dollar neoprene ones, I'd still be taking them off alot to clean things up.
