Interesting to see so many new Stoner fans (and Rossi knockers) on KBer this season!

First three on the grid are in a league of their own. I think Stoner's going to once again control the race from the front, Pedro and George may have a little scrap, of which George will come out on top.

If you subscribe YES - If you are getting stuff from an unauthorized source and the copy-write owner finds out then they will get your ISP to send you a warning - Three warnings and you may be taken to court. I don't know if the three warnings have to come from the same copy-write holder or not.

Funny thing that. I had long winded 'debates' with certain members here when I stated Stoner was the fastest racer I've ever seen in my time of watching/following GP racing. They all but avoid the GP threads now.

I see that if he wins another GP he'll match the great Eddie Lawson for GP wins at 31. Pretty good effort, and already more wins than Revvin Kevin and Rainey. Like the guys persona or not...should be thankful we get to see such aggressive yet controlled riding. He's on a mission.

Aye. And although he crashed it semi often...better to be fast and crashing than safe but slow! Another funny thing...a lot of experts criticised him for crashing too often on the Ducati. It would appear now that he was simply trying to win races on a bike that in theory was not capable of doing so. I mean...how many races has he crashed out of this season (his own doing)?

The haters must be a hatin this season!!! Funnily enough...most of the haters happen to be Rossi lovers. Double hatin.

I agree that Stoner is the fastest rider of the modern-era (although I won't forget seeing Rainey smoke a screaming 500 down the corkscrew...) We'll have to wait to see how he stacks up alongside those names on the title score, of course. It's a funny game so he'll need luck but he is a hard little fucker.

When I first heard that Rossi would go to Ducati for his retirement fund (`benefit years'), it reminded me a little of when Lawson went to Cagiva in '91. I don't think it is the right way for declining greats to end their careers.

I actually think Rossi went to Ducati thinking he would win on it mate. Especially after the comments he made about Stoner not trying hard enough last year. He's certainly come back to earth with a rather large thud though.

Well that was a great result to keep the MotoGP championship percolating. See Stoners complaining about fatigue getting to him from halfway... hope that's not a recurrence of his problems from the past. Good on Simoncelli for winning the battle for fourth.

I don't really see what Stoner said as complaining, more like being honest and saying how it is. But yeah...anything could still happen. And the race for fourth was great!

Rossi had a much better go at things too.

Didn't mean it like that. I've come to the conclusion that Stoner simply tells it like he feels it and doesn't much give a fuck about how other people interpret it. So if he says he's fucked... then he's fucked.

I couldn't believe it, myself! I bet he's a very sorry Frenchman today - If I was his team manager he would have been reamed out with an extra large reamer! What was he playing at!

Great to see Simo back to his "you're not passing me like that" style and Rossi looked knackered at the end, as well.

good to see Casey just say he was knackered and lost it - even the missus, who can't stand him, thought it was honest. Otherwise, as usual, GP was reasonably boring, as usual, and the 125's & GP2 had more to hold my interest.

Man for man with Lorenzo , I give you 3 possible outcomes.

2/ Yamaha/Honda, Lorenzo drags him into a dogfight, & the fragility shows up
3/ Ducati mounted, Stoner is plain gone while Lorenzo swaps notes with the Dr

So Stoner for Yamaha in 2012 or 2013?
First rider to win championship on 3 different brands in modern era?

I am sure Dennis Noyes did a good job, but I was reasonable certain that Zarco was just far enough ahead on that particular lap to make it if he had just tucked and wrung the bikes neck. He could still have weaved, just not sat up! In fact, sitting up allowed him to know where Terol was and hence did not weave badly enough to put him off, he knew where he was so subconsiously did not weave far enough. There is absolutely no way that what he did did not slow him down and 0.022s at the speed they were doing (my guess is somewhere around 160 km/h) is 0.97m. 1 m is nearly a bike length. There is no way to know whether either rider was going flat out in lap 21. Dennis is an astute observer, but has never raced 125GP bikes if that really means anything.....
I think Dennis is mistaken and that Zarco would have won, and I know it all!! I just do!!

I heard a few things on the forums about how a different company will make the leathers and then just put the brand name bits on to make it look like a Dainese or AStars. Like that Kiwi guy making cricket bats for the English team, and then putting whoever the players sponser sticker on, like GM, Gray Nicolls, etc. We all like to think the GP suits are what we can buy off the shelf...
