'Queen'. Part of the soundtrack to my teeneage years. I have a memory of listening to 'Killer Queen' cruising around the back of Maheno (ask 98tls) one night in my mate's 1930something Morris van (hand operated windscreen wipers and inclined to fire sparks from under the dash at the drop of a hat.)

I think you will find it was Sid Vicious who was probably off his tits on heroin at the time. Plus Steve Jones did all the bass parts. The actual talent in the Pistols was the first lineup: Lydon - Jones - Matlock - Cook.

The only fighter in the Pistols was Lydon when he had to, and Jones when he was pissed, from what I've read.

Massive chip on shoulder though. I do recommend his autobiography, its very entertaining.

I remember on the day he died I was listening to the greatest radio station ever BFM. The DJ announced Freddy had died, said a few things like shame and sorely missed and then proceeded to play Queens 'Another one bites the dust'.

One of the best bands ever IMO. Imagine if they were still going...
