I've got a fairly tidy 89 CBR1000F for sale, only has a little gravel rash on the R/H side fairing which would be very easy to repair and make the bike mint. Photos show the damage, it's sod all.
Just had a service done, new battery, good tyres, selling with new WOF and 3 months reg.
I've personally commuted on it and it's so fucking smooth it's unbelievable, really comfy and still pretty bloody fast. Prior to trading, it's had one NZ owner and he owned it for the past 10 years. Really well looked after bike.
Make an excellent sports tourer for someone wanting a cheap and cheerfull bike. Flick me a PM if you're keen.

Very tidy looking bike,
Were the fairings replaced and paint or repainted at some point do you know?

Don't think so mate. Looks like factory Honda paint and fairings to me. Could be wrong though.

Nope. That is an earlier (inferior apparently) model. Compare where the vents are located around the headlight.

No super sports bike, but for an old barge they were a neat bike. Wish I'd found a decent one ages back when I was 1/2 looking around for one instead of the RF900 I ended up with. Yes I said it -I'd prefer the 'onda.. . at least in this instance. Bargain.

WTF?? Can't you read? Mr Honda put the stickers on the back saying "Super Sport", and he'd know.
Seriously though, you are right, it's a surprisingly cool bike to ride.

I would be carefull there selling this weapon to the grommet (learner) community. You could get done for assisted suicide :corn:

Not actually pitching it at learners, just seems they're the only people interested.

I think it just appeals to the young'uns because it's in their price bracket.

A virtual drawing? Don't you just arrange the zeros & ones in the right order? Or do you need a lot of matter to transmogrify it into reality after, like a 3D print out?

Great to see old Custom Fighters has really taken off. I was one of the original members on there, Miller chucked a post here on KB asking for people to get onboard. Funnily enough, I think old Skiddy's been fairly active on there too.

Yes they were delicious.
I'd rather have the original. By quite a long shot. The tank on that thing looks like Kryten's head.

I lurk there on occasion. Along with NZSF.
But without a garage, a heap of shit for a bike..... I don't feel worthy anymore.

at risk of stealing the thread Ive been lurking :D the vfr will be on the market soon :/ now riding a Dr 650 motard.
The cbr is an awesome bike. Seriously considered getting one for a tour of the south island. Cheap cause if their age and great two up. The vfr has done quarter of a million k's and doesn't use any oil still. If anything the cbr's are more reliable and cheaper to service.
Added up the number of times I've ridden to wellington to other day. From the bay of islands. Over 60. The cbr would have been better for it.
