Are rear foot pegs required for WOF, as the testing station are saying I need them :devil2:
I have had problems with Takanini Testical station picking up stupid little things that other WOF places shake their head at. should have booked into a local bike shop after all  Thats me wanting things now.

If it's registered to carry two people then yes it does have to have em.
I take them off most of my bikes an just put em' back come warrent time.
The fact my current ride doesn't even have a pillion seat means nothing because it's registered to carry two.

OK. Here y'go again. From that invaluable source teh VIR Manual. Which is what the WOF tester has to abide by
Section 2.2 Foot rests
Summary of legislation Reasons for rejection
Applicable legislation
Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Equipment 2004

1. A motorcycle must have:
a) foot rests for the rider, and
b) foot rests for the pillion passenger if
provision is made for pillion riding.
Condition
2. Foot rests must be adequate.
..
Reasons for rejection
Mandatory equipment
1. A motorcycle is not fitted with adequate footrests:
a) for the rider, or
b) for the pillion passenger where there is a pillion
passenger seating position.
Condition
2. A footrest or footrest mounting:

b) is weakened by corrosion or other damage.
...
So you only have to have pilliuon rests if there is a pillion seating position (NB - not a SEAT , a POSITION.)

excuse me but how the hell do you register a motor bike to carry one person as apposed to two people?
reguarding the warrent yes if you have a rear seat to carry a pillion then you require foot pegs.
but sorry, to register a bike for two is weird. thought it was for private or commerical use.
