Yeah, Friday was a hoot. I had thought Hampton Downs would be a more difficult track with the downhill corners, but by comparison it is really straight forward, and the grip there is phenomenal. Taupo was a considerably more challenging track, and in the morning especially it was quite slippery. I got a bit of wheel slippage on the paint a few times, but that actually added to the charm... knowing you can slide a bit and the bike will hook back up. It took me quite a while to get to grips with the whole track, especially gear selection. The Ninja doesn't have much of a power band, so getting that right was essential to keeping speed up.

Thanks to all the organizers, and to Allen Ure for pulling me aside after session 5 and giving me that encouragement. My wife and mother didn't much like your suggestion to take the 250r racing.... ha ha.
