Are there any motorcamps or accommodation that a lot of Nationals Racers use while down South ?
Sort of like the GP Circus ? LOL
I would like to stay in places where there are some friendly faces if possible.

Camp at the track buddy. Best fun you can have with your pants on. And sometimes off.

The missus isn't averse to staying the odd night at a motorcamp in a tent, but I think she wants a 'base' with a few comforts for her and the billy lids.
Plus one of my sponsors covers a bit of accommodation so we will be using that also.

We usually stay at track when at Levels and Ruapuna but in Invercargil we stay at 295 on Tay (as do the hoogies) Also have stayed at Queenspark hotel (bit cheaper)
Sorry dont have any recommendations for Levels(Timaru) or Ruapuna.

As this thread is about accomodation........ is there any facilities (ie showers) at HD.
Coming up for the tri-series and budget cant stretch any further for fancy accomodation.

North/South motorcamp no more than 10 minutes from the track even if you're driving slow

Are you allowed to camp at Ruapuna? I thought that option was no longer available due to rubbish being left at the track...

There aren't any connected to the toilet facilities. I'm not sure if there are any more.
I just called the track and all the apartments are booked for the tri series already.
You don't need to shower anyway - its a road trip !! LOL
