Oh that's pretty COOL!!!

I thought you were going to post up this one:

http://twostrokemotocross.com/2011/09/ditching-your-two-strokes-carb-for-port-fuel-injection/

Check it out if anyone here has a two stroke they want to convert from Carb -> FI.

I would REALLY love to see some clean burning 2-strokes.

Yeah that's great eh! I have my collar bone still sticking out the front on my chest from having it snapped in two by a TZ700 powered chair.

So, um. . why did they make it an 80 not an 85 as the rest of the class? I mean that seems like a simple question, but in that market surely people would see it as being old school as they have been making 85s for years. 80s are so last century. One wonders why that never came up. Just makes my spider sense tingle.

So they wanted to plug a gap meaning it won't be competitive? But then claim the later engines that will meet Euro 4 will be considerably more potent? Have I read this wrong or is something wrong?

V4 yes. Inline 4 no.

TZ700 are like 35 plus years old man, so like 70s retro
get with the 2000s at least
Seriously no doubt they were a sight to behold I guess, but some of us weren't born yet.
I have read the stories about John Boote smuggling them through customs as hand luggage
Stewardess to John Boote "Sir is the a set of forks in your trousers or are you just happy to see me"

This is a engine V4 and injected to boot 5000ft per minute a peak hp revs. so I guess the crank life is measured in minutes. My guess is about 240 minutes each.

I really don't see how you not being born back then makes a TZ700/750 any less spectacular.

Its simple maths really
As I was not born back then or too young to see them race in there heyday.
I have not seen them race so therefor they were not that spectacular to me.
Now to you having probably seen them used in anger probably have a differnt point of view.

Ps the your still in the 70s mann... reto Could have been a little bit of irony so chill out a bit dude and go with the flow mann.....

Doubt you'd wanna be for the first example. You'd still not get to see a TZ700/750!

Still not the same as being there though but great stuff
From What i understand it was at Kenny's request the bike was banned that may be a urban myth though.I guess Harley would have had a bit of a gripe about it.

Follow this link it gets off to a slow start but its addictive powerful stuff.

Not what you think either being a 2 stroke thread.
BTW Kenny's first serious race bike was?Hint it was the bike class that you hate too, and not a Yamaha. Answer on a $5 note addressed to Husaberg c/o South Island

Yet another thread killed off by Husaberg
