HELP: How to take centrestand off 2010 Yamaha Scorpio Z?

hello peeps, im having trouble taking the centre stand off my yamaha scorpio, ok... theres no bolt to undo to take it out of the bracket only a weird knob with a half a washer thing around it???? how do i take this off?? the centre stand looks crap and i never use it anyway its annoying. any ideas?

Personally I would leave the centre stand where it is,as it make maintinance a whole lot easier....

but if you really want too remove it,That half a washer thingy you talk about sounds like a circlip (will have a hole in each end)that would need too be expanded too remove from your werid knob

once the clip is removed you should be able too remove the shaft by pushing it through,and remove the spring/springs

I agree with dognbikes.
How do you oil your chain? The center stand makes this sooo much easier and that is just one maintenance task you will wish you had it for or is it a case of "maintenance? what maintenance?"

+1 to the above statements regarding leaving it alone for maint reasons.......you might even be surprised how much the lack of centre stand devalues the bike.

Your riding a scorpio, I dont think the cool factor is hampered by a center stand..
