A "lot" of snow in NZ has to be taken relatively. A proper Scottish ( or Canadian ) white out for a few days would wreak havoc.

Oh I know, but it was still a decent accumulation especially in the south end of the North Island + South Island. I just thought that report might cheer you guys up... that you don't have some massive pile of snow SOOOOOOOOOOOO big that it takes 4 months to melt. :D
